She spent years navigating military life, earning an MFA in Creative Writing, an MA in New Media Journalism, and an MBA, while working in a range of fields, including technical writing and instructional design. Along the way, she learned that sometimes the scariest part of storytelling isn’t what lurks in the dark, it’s the doubt in your own mind. But after 25 years, she decided it was time to chase her dream of bringing her own brand of eerie small-town secrets to life. Now based in North Carolina (when she’s not escaping to a cruise ship or Universal for inspiration), Courtney is on a mission to uncover the hidden magic in everyday places and to share those stories with you.
